Prevail Bank Shred Event Helps People Helping People

As a result of Prevail Bank’s Community Shred Day event in Baraboo, $1,777 was raised for People Helping People’s Adopt a Veteran Program, supporting homeless veterans and those in need throughout the area.

Prevail Bank pledged $1 for every pound of paper, up to $1,000 for People Helping People, and the community rose to the challenge, bringing in a whopping 6,000 pounds of paper to be safely destroyed and recycled! The public chipped in an additional $777 in donations, bringing the total gift to $1,777.

Bill Harris, People Helping People’s President (second from left) accepted the check from Prevail Bank professionals (L to R) Susan DeVoe, Relationship Baner; Tara Mangino, Universal Banker; and Brooke Peterson, Universal Banker.

“This event was a win-win,” said Kristi Anderson, Prevail Bank Branch Manager. “We helped people protect their personal information while supporting a cause that makes a real difference right here in our community.”

Prevail Bank is a community bank that is continuously looking for ways to give back, support those pursuing dreams, and make things better in central Wisconsin.
