Prevail Bank Combines Reading & Financial Education
Bankers teach children valuable saving skills by reading together.

(Baraboo) During the month of April – National Financial Literacy Month - eight Prevail Bank professionals volunteered and taught, in collaboration with the classroom teachers, approximately 286 kids the value of saving. They facilitated money-related activities and read a book entitled, “The Berenstain Bear’s Trouble with Money”.

The story follows Brother and Sister Bear as they learn the value of earning, saving, and spending money wisely. Wanting more spending money, they are encouraged by Papa Bear to work for it, leading them to try chores and small jobs. Along the way, they discover that earning money requires effort and responsibility, and that making thoughtful choices about how to use it is just as important. By the end of the story, the cubs gain a deeper appreciation for hard work and financial responsibility.

Participating in National Teach Children to Save Day reflects Prevail Bank’s commitment to improving financial literacy in the communities it serves.
