We’re looking for a Behavioral Health Technician to assess client needs and monitor client behavior while in our treatment programs.
  • You will be a part of creating the best first impression for our clients - from reaching out to confirm their arrival time, to processing their intake upon arrival, and beyond!
  • You will be a part of the client care team by helping to coordinate treatment and executing daily programming!
SCHEDULE - 3RD SHIFT:
Two-Week Rotating Schedule:
Week 1: 5 x 8-hour shifts, 10:30pm-7:00am
Week 2: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 9:00pm-7:30am
This allows you to have every other weekend off!
 
SCHEDULE - 2ND SHIFT:

Week 1: 5 x 8-hour shifts, 2:30pm-11pm
Week 2: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 12:30pm-11pm
This allows you to have every other weekend off!
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct client rounds according to state protocols and document appropriately.
  • Read communication log at beginning of shift and complete their own summary and essential tasks contained therein by conclusion of shift.
  • Complete new admission intake procedures according to Wood Violet Recovery policies on all new admissions (UA, belongings searches, and paperwork).
  • Document daily progress in client charts. Overnight staff to document quantity and quality of sleep in progress notes.
  • Administer detoxification protocols (completion of vital signs and rounds) on all detoxification clients.
  • Transport clients to appointments, meetings etc.
  • Monitor the needs and behaviors of clients; interact with clients and their families/significant others as needed and document such interactions.
  • Continue to learn about alcohol and/or drug abuse and alcoholism and the principles of recovery.
  • Assist and participate with on-site activities, support groups, outings and community meetings, as assigned.
  • Recognize early signs of illness and the need for professional assistance; follow through and report immediately.
  • Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.
  • Follow HIPAA Regulations.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification or willing to obtain.
  • Experience, knowledge, or interest in chemical dependency and abuse.
  • Two to three years’ experience in human services settings preferred.
  • At least 1 year of sobriety if in recovery.
  • Ability to pass criminal/caregiver background check.
