Part-time to Full-time Personal Trainer

As SP Fitness continues to grow we are looking to bring on a Part-Time to Full-time Personal Trainer and Class Instructor. Monday - Friday hours flexible. Must be willing to work 1 Saturday per month from 7am-10am.

Pay based on experience starting

The goal of being a personal trainer and class instructor at SP Fitness is to create a fun, safe, and motivating environment.

We strive to create an unforgettable experience for the client and to put “personal” back into personal training.

Job Expectation:

  • You must obtain and maintain your CPR and First Aid certificate every 2 years.
  • You must obtain and maintain your continued education on a bi-yearly basis to maintain your professional certifications.
  • You will be required to provide monthly assessments on any personal training clients.
Education:

Certification as a fitness class instructor or personal trainer from a nationally recognized accredited certifying organization (ACE, ACSM, NSCA, and CPT) are preferred OR a B.S degree in exercise science or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

-Clients need to feel respected and to get the results they need and want, in a consistent, fun and effective way
Demonstrate and instruct proper use of equipment with regards to muscle stabilization, body alignment and execution. 
-Responsible for the safety of participates in regards to heart rate, exercise technique, posture, as well as joint stress and stability when resistance training. Build client rapport, and maintain required performance levels.
-Must have the ability to progress and regress exercises in real-time.
-Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills.
-Push and help motivate clients to achieve their desired health goals.
-Must have the desire and capacity to train all fitness levels, novice to elite.
-Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the training area when done training a client
-Handle client concerns and feedback in a professional, objective manner with the goal of resolution and retention when applicable.
