Honoring Our Veterans – Veterans Day Ceremonies

Join us on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as the Sauk Prairie Veterans of Foreign Wars Lachmund-Cramer Post 7694 and Sauk City American Legion Kuoni-Reuter Post 167 host two public Veterans Day ceremonies to honor those who served our country.

Indoor Ceremony – Grand Avenue Elementary School, Prairie du Sac

• Time: 9:00 AM

• Location: Entrance through school parking lot

• Special Feature: Grand Avenue fifth graders will perform patriotic songs

Outdoor Ceremony – Sauk Prairie Area Veterans Memorial, Sauk City

• Assemble: 10:45 AM

• Observance: 11:00 AM “Moment of Silence” commemorating the end of World War I at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month

• Ceremony Highlights:

  • VFW Honor Guard’s 21-gun salute

  • Playing of “Taps”

  • Recognition of 1,135 local veterans on the memorial (Civil War through South West Asia)

This is a meaningful opportunity to honor our community’s veterans and reflect on their service and sacrifice. All are welcome to attend.
