Join a group of volunteers working to preserve the apple trees planted at the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant. These trees date back from before the ammunition plant and represent apple varieties that are no longer commercially available. We document, preserve, and transplant trees to honor the farm families who planted them.
Sauk Prairie Conservation AllianceWe are seeking local (able to drive to Sauk City) community members, business owners, civic leaders, recent graduates, or other involved and passionate people to help steer the Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance as it enters its 26th year. We meet the first Thursday evening of the month. Winter meetings are virtual; all others are held in Sauk City. Board members are encouraged to volunteer at our events around the region.
