Just over a century ago, Sauk County grew one fifth of the world's share of hops. As the brewing industry takes a turn once more toward home-grown flavors, come taste the fruits of southwestern Wisconsin's own Gorst Valley Hops in the brews of Sauk City's Woodshed Ale House while brewers from Vintage Brewery, homebrewers from the Sauk Prairie Bluff Hoppers, and Gorst Valley growers share the history and dynamic future of this little vine that could.
