In this 3 hour class, you’ll tie three proven, fish-catching trout flies while learning the foundational techniques every fly tier needs:
• San Juan Worm – master thread control and clean whip finishes
• Griffith’s Gnat – learn dry fly hackle and working with smaller hooks
• Woolly Bugger – tailing, tapering bodies, and palmering hackle
Gabe from Musky Fool Fly Fishing Co. will cover essential tools, materials, and techniques step-by-step, 3-hour, hands on class setting, so you get plenty of personal instruction. No experience required – just show up ready to learn and have fun with some functional art.
Only 8 spots available! Sign up early.

Instructor bio:
Gabe Park is a Wisconsin-born and raised fly angler from Neenah, WI, with a lifelong obsession for chasing fish on feathers. After earning his bachelor’s degree from UW–Stevens Point, Gabe headed west to Colorado, where he managed St. Peter’s Fly Shop in Fort Collins and fully leaned into life on the water. Eventually, the pull of muskies (and home) brought him back to Wisconsin, where he guided for Wisconsin Fly Fishing Company and focused his efforts on the fish that started it all.
Today, Gabe is the shop manager and resident bucktail dye master at Musky Fool Fly Fishing Co. in Waunakee, WI. When he’s not behind the vise or talking fly design, he’s probably fishing or thinking about fishing. Outside of fly fishing, his two greatest priorities are being a husband to his wife Lydia and a dad to his two-year-old daughter, Odalie. If you take his Fly Tying 101 class, expect plenty of practical tips, a few fish stories, and a whole lot of enthusiasm for the craft.
