Blindness Awareness

Have you ever wondered how a blind person does things, like go to the grocery store or watch movies or what kind of jobs they have? Meet Katie at the library Wednesday, September 19 at 2:30 p.m.  She's all grown up now, but was once a kid like you! She will show you how she uses a cane, works with her seeing-eye dog and reads with Braille.  You'll also get to make a Braille bookmark with your name or initials to take home.  Snack included.  This early release event is appropriate for school-age children.  Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
