Featured in the River Arts Center gallery is Steven Spiro (furniture).

Dreams, meditative inspirations, visions, and nature itself are the sources of Steven's adventures in creating functional wood furniture. Forms of nature are represented in a simplified, organic style that is very flowing and sensual, like the hills and valleys of his southwest Wisconsin home. The elements composing various pieces of furniture are meant to be flowing, energetic interpretations of solid objects. Like the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painters, Steven seeks to depict the energetic atmosphere in which seemingly solid objects arise. The landscape appears as a complex, energized, and harmonious presence.
