DESCRIPTION:The Sauk Prairie community is invited to celebrate the official dedication of "Connectedness\," a stunning new 96' mural by artist Christopher Sweet\, located on the Great Sauk State Trail. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on October 8th at 4:00 PM to mark the official launch of this vibrant piece that celebrates community\, nature\, and the power of human connection.\n\n \n\nGuest speakers Tywana German\, Executive Director of the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce and Jon Cody\, President of the Friends of the Great Sauk State Trail\, will share their perspectives on the significance of public art and the impact of the Great Sauk State Trail on the community. Artist Christopher Sweet\, Ho-Chunk & White Earth Ojibwe\, will share the inspiration behind this unique mural. The event will conclude with a special song performed by Eric Logan\, Ho-Chunk\, and an official ribbon cutting.\n\n \n\nThis event is free and open to the public.\n\n \n\nStreet parking recommended near Fuchs Park at the intersection of John Quincy Adams and Dallas Street in Sauk City. From there\, follow the Great Sauk State Trail 400 ft south towards the Wisconsin River.\n\n \n\n"Connectedness" was funded by the Wisconsin Department of Administration ARPA Tourism Capital Grant Program.
